What types of project can I enquire about?
New residential linings, replacement ceilings, renovation work, partitions and commercial fitouts can be described here. The contractor’s suitability and interest in the actual job size are confirmed separately.
Do you need plans to start?
Plans help with new homes and commercial work. For an existing room, approximate dimensions, photos and a description of what is changing are enough to begin the scope conversation.
Can a quote include framing and plasterboard?
State that you need both. Some enquiries require several trades or a broader contractor scope, so framing, doors, insulation and finishing should be identified rather than assumed included.
What is the difference between installation and painting?
A plasterboard scope may include hanging, setting and sanding to an agreed finish. Priming, painter preparation and finish coats need to be checked separately in the quote.
Can you work to my builder’s schedule?
Provide the intended dates and what must happen before lining. The project programme can be discussed once contractor availability and the actual site readiness are confirmed.
